After his wife dies in an accident during a family trip to Rameswaram, Balram and his children decide to return to Ayodhya with the body. They face many obstacles, but the kindhearted Abdul Malik offers to help them.

Ayothi Movie Story
Balram, an orthodox Hindu from Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, was planning a pilgrimage to Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu with his wife Janaki, daughter Shivani and son Sonu. On the eve of Diwali 2021 (November 4), on the way to Rameswaram from Madurai Junction Railway Station, Balram had an argument with a taxi driver, Kanag, which led to an accident.
Janaki is severely injured and admitted to the hospital’s intensive care unit. To ensure her survival, she needs to be immediately transferred to the Madurai Government Hospital. Balram and his children are helpless as they do not understand Tamil. Kanag’s friend, seeing the helpless children who have just lost their mother, decides to help. He drives the ambulance to the Madurai Government Hospital, but Janaki dies on the way. For religious reasons, Balram refuses to perform an autopsy on his wife and insists on dropping the family off at the Madurai airport so that Janaki’s body can be airlifted to Ayodhya.
