Baahubali: Crown of Blood Story
Nine years after the first Baahubali film, Crown of Blood capitalised on the popularity of the character and was produced by Rajamouli and Sharad Devarajan, who is also one of the series’ screenwriters alongside Sarwat Chaddha, Jeevan J Kang and Shivangi Singh. Shortly after the Baahubali films, writer Anand Neelakantan’s trilogy series Baahubali: Before the Beginning was also released, depicting Sivagami’s life before she became the Empress of Mahishmati. A digital series adaptation of the series was in the works, but was later cancelled. Rajamouli and Sharad Devarajan are also credited as creators of the 2017 series Baahubali: The Lost Legends.
Baahubali: Crown of Blood Review
New characters are introduced, such as Raktadeva, more powerful than any foe Mahishmati has faced so far, and Koteshwar (voiced by Pramod Mathur), an old man afflicted by Raktadeva who seeks Bahu’s help. Both have interesting character developments. Rajesh Khattar’s voice provides valuable support for the hulking beast Raktadeva. The other voice actors, Mausam as Sivagami and Deepak Sinha as Bijaldev, are pretty average.
The show ends on a satisfying note, but the addition of new characters and their connections to Mahishmati expands the scope of the story and sets the stage for further chapters in this epic tale. Overall, Baahubali 2: Blood and Blood doesn’t quite live up to the lofty expectations of the live-action film, but it does make good use of its format to offer a deeper insight into the world of Baahubali.
In conclusion, Baahubali 2: Blood and Blood is a promising addition for fans who want to explore more of the world and characters they love.
