Fool Me Once is a British thriller television series produced by Quay Street Productions for Netflix. It is adapted by Danny Brocklehurst from Harlan Coben’s 2016 novel of the same name. It stars Michelle Keegan, Adeel Akhtar, Dino Fetcher, Richard Armitage and Joanna Lumley.
Its Netflix premiere took place on 1 January 2024. As of 31 March 2024, it has been watched by 98.2 million viewers and 630 million hours, making it Netflix’s seventh most-watched English-language series of all time.
The series is set in the United Kingdom, as opposed to the novel’s American setting. Corben, who wrote the original novels, served as executive producer on the series. It is one of several adaptations of Corben’s work by Netflix.Danny Brocklehurst serves as head writer and executive producer, with Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee executive producing through their Quay Street Productions. It is directed by David Moore and Nimah Rashed.
Filming will begin in February 2023 in Manchester, England and other locations in the North West, with additional filming taking place in Spain. Production will conclude in August 2023.

Because this is a really great series. And not just because Joanna Lumley is in it, which alone would raise the “unapologetically grab me by the collar and shake until the last second” bar for any show. The story surprises you at every turn, as if Illumleynation and the other excellent actors were not keeping this series going on their own. In fact, the plot is so intricate and the suspenseful moments so twisty and unpredictable.
