The story starts when the Ghostbusters procure a secretive circle, later uncovered to be a jail for Garraka. Over 4,000 years ago, sorcerers created this ancient artifact to entangle Garraka, who had previously attempted to conquer humanity.

As the circle’s energy begins to release Garraka’s power, a staggering virus wave starts to freeze New York City. With the assistance of both veteran and new team members, including Phoebe and Podcast,

the Ghostbusters, now led by Winston Zeddemore, must once more save the city. The group fights Garraka’s minions and works to prevent him from fully escaping and using his global freezing powers.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife was a long-awaited return to the franchise, and it did not disappoint. While Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd were noticeably absent, the new cast each brought their own energy and charm.

The film’s mix of nostalgia, humor, and heart makes it a satisfying experience for longtime fans and newcomers alike. McKenna Grace and Paul Rudd are great additions to the series.
