The Godfather is a 2022 Indian Telugu-language political action thriller film directed by Mohan Raja. It is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Lucifer. The film stars Chiranjeevi in the title role and features an ensemble cast including Salman Khan, Nayanthara, Satya Dev, Murali Mohan, Puri Jagannadh, Murali Sharma, Tanya Ravichandran, Sarvadaman D. Banerjee, Samuthirakani, Nawab Shah and Sunil.
The film is produced by R.B. Choudhary and N.V. Prasad under the banner of Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films. In the film, the ruling party’s top leader passes away, leaving a huge void not only in the party’s electoral and leadership sphere but also in the national sphere. In the inevitable battle for succession, the fine line between good and evil becomes irretrievably blurred. Those who follow him decide what to do.

Overall it’s a good movie. Chiru and Sathya are top notch in their acting but changing the storyline wouldn’t have helped. It would have taken away the original flavour. For those who have never seen Lucifer before, The Godfather is on a great level.
