Halloween Ends is a 2022 American slasher film directed by David Gordon Green and co-written by Green, Danny McBride, Paul Brad Logan, and Chris Bernier. It is the sequel to Halloween Kills (2021), the thirteenth film in the Halloween series, and the final film in the sequel trilogy that began with the 2018 film, which directly followed the 1978 film. The film stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Andi Matichak, Rohan Campbell, Will Patton, Kyle Richards, and James Jude Courtney.
The story revolves around Corey Cunningham, an outsider who falls in love with Laurie Strode’s granddaughter, but a series of events, including an encounter with Michael Myers, drives him to become a serial killer. Prior to the release of Halloween in 2018, McBride admitted that he had planned to make two films back-to-back with Green but decided to pull out instead, waiting to see the reaction to the first film. Following the success of its predecessor, the film’s title was announced in July 2019 as Halloween Kills.

On Halloween night in 2019, 21-year-old Corey Cunningham was caring for a little boy named Jeremy Allen, who locked him in the attic and played tricks on him. When Jeremy’s parents returned home, Corey kicked open the door and accidentally pushed Jeremy over a banister, causing his death. Corey was arrested on a charge of manslaughter, but was found not guilty by a judge. Nevertheless, the residents of Haddonfield consider Corey an outsider.
Three years later, the town of Haddonfield, Illinois, is still reeling from the aftermath of the latest series of murders committed by Michael Myers in 2018, with Michael still missing. Laurie Strode writes her memoirs and lives with her granddaughter, Allison. Meanwhile, Corey works at his stepfather’s junkyard. One day, on his way home, he is attacked and injured by his high school bullies. Laurie, who has been watching him, takes him to the clinic where Allison works. Allison and Corey develop a relationship and later attend a Halloween party.
Halloween Ends Movie Review
Another movie where Michael chases Laurie throughout the entire movie only to end up in another pointless fight. When Michael looked into Corey’s eyes, he looked into his soul and saw flashbacks of Allison, so he let Corey go. That’s also why he let the boy have the mask because he knew it would take him to Laurie’s house. I also liked that this movie shows the human side of Michael, in the sense that we see Michael actually bleeding and becoming weak and frail from the severe beatings in The Kills. Truly an amazing movie and I couldn’t have written it any better myself.
