Kanche (in French) Krish is the writer and director of The Fence, a romantic war film released in 2015 in the Indian Telugu language. Varun Tej, Pragya Jaiswal, and Nikitin Dheer star in it. Kanche, which was made by First Frame Entertainment, is about the rivalry that exists between two friends, Dhupati Haribabu (played by Tej) and Eeswar Prasad (played by Dheer). In the late 1930s, Haribabu and Sitadevi (Jaiswal), Eeswar’s sister, graduate from the University of Madras and fall in love. Eeswar opposes their relationship and accidentally kills Sitadevi because of the prevalent casteism in their home village. Eeswar, who is now a colonel, is Haribabu’s commanding officer when he joins the British Indian Army as a captain years later to fight against the Axis powers in World War II.
Krish began researching the subject of the film after seeing a bomb dropped by the Imperial Japanese Army and preserved in a Visakhapatnam museum during Vedam’s production. He considered the film’s screenplay to be his most ambitious undertaking, which he worked on for nine and a half months. The film’s songs and soundtrack were written by Chirantan Bhatt, who made his debut in Telugu cinema. The film’s director of photography was Gnana Shekar V. S.; The film’s art director was Sahi Suresh, and the film’s dialogue was written by Sai Madhav Burra.

Kanche Movie Story
On Rachakonda Sitadevi’s birthday in 1936, Dhupati Haribabu and Rachakonda Sitadevi meet at the Madras Cultural Club in Madras Presidency and discover that they are both enrolled at the University of Madras. While Haribabu is the grandson of a local barber and belongs to a lower caste, Sitadevi is the princess of the Rachakonda estate. They are in love by the time they graduate, and they move back to their hometown of Devarakonda. Haribabu meets Eeswar, Sitadevi’s brother, and the two become close friends. When Eeswar and his grandfather Pedababu find out that Haribabu and Sitadevi are having an affair, they start a fight between people from both castes. There are hundreds of deaths on both sides, and a Kanche fence is built to permanently separate the two groups. Haribabu is stabbed upon his return from town while Eeswar and Pedababu make the decision to wed Sitadevi to a boy of their choice. On the wedding day, Haribabu marries Sitadevi in front of her grandmother and then leaves. Sitadevi takes care of him in secret in her bedroom. That evening, Eeswar and Haribabu engage in a duel, resulting in Sitadevi’s accidental death.
As a member of the allied nations during World War II, the British Raj sent over two million Indian volunteer soldiers to fight the Axis powers under British command. Eeswar, who is now a colonel, is Haribabu’s commanding officer when he joins them as a captain. In the Italian Campaign in May 1944, the Nazis attack and capture the Indian army. Haribabu, Dasu, and three additional soldiers flee. They decide to follow the Nazis and save the captured troops. They flee to the home of an Italian baker, where they are sheltered by his granddaughter. She reveals that the Nazis want to kill a young girl whose Jewish parents were doctors in Germany.
Kanche Movie Review
Everyone is moved to tears by this movie. In addition to contrasting love and caste, it highlights the humanity of individuals from all nations. By itself, the script is amazing. The dialogue makes up for any shortcomings in the cast. It moved me.
