Made in Heaven Season 2 Review
The deconstruction of these characters and their origin stories is the core and best part of the series. These are two deeply flawed people, but in an addictive way. With Karan’s character, Indian filmmakers have finally matured enough to portray urban gay youth in a realistic setting. It’s just refreshing to see a love scene between two men without the heteronormative filter we’re used to. No sugar coating, no sugar coating.
At least I have never seen such layered and realistic portrayals of LGBT characters in India. The fact that Karan and Tara are played by non-star actors fits the picture very well, at least for me. They have no legacy issues. The rest of the cast is also great, everyone doing their best. If Prime India does indeed offer such content, it will give Netflix India some stiff competition. If you are a drama lover, this is a must-watch.
