Manhunt is an American historical drama miniseries created by showrunner Monica Beletsky and based on James L. Swanson’s book Manhunt: The 12-Day Hunt for the Killer of Lincoln. The series follows Edwin Stanton’s search for John Wilkes Booth after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. The series is directed by Carl Franklin and stars Tobias Menzies. It was produced for Apple TV+ and released on March 15, 2024.

Manhunt Movie Review
Tobias Menzies is a very talented and versatile actor. When I saw him in the role of Edwin Stanton, I really felt sorry for him as he had chronic asthma. I never thought I would be able to sympathize with the evil villain Black Jack Randall in Outlander. Mr Menzies is a very down-to-earth Army Chief. This actor does justice to his characters. His resume is impressive.
I’ll be watching his every move from now on. Manhunt is a pretty authentic, fact-based story about the search for John Wilkes Booth, played by the truly talented actor Anthony Boyle. Thanks to two of my favorite new actors, the series is likely to win top honors at the Emmys and Globes. Well done!
