Monica, Oh My Darling is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language neo-noir crime thriller film directed by Vasan Bhalla. It stars Rajkummar Rao, Huma Qureshi and Radhika Apte in the lead roles. The film is based on the 1989 Japanese crime novel The Heart of Brutus (translated as The Heart of Brutus) by Keigo Higashino. The film’s title is taken from the song “Piya Tu Ab To Aja” from the 1971 film Caravan It was released on Netflix on November 11, 2022

During a night shift at the Unicorn factory, Dev Prakash tells his friend Gaurav that he has proposed marriage to Shalu, and she accepts. Shortly after, Dev is hit and killed by one of the company’s robots. The incident is dismissed as an accident, and the security officer, Faridi Baig, is fired from the company.
Six months later, on Unicorn’s 50th anniversary, Jayant Alkhedkar is promoted to the company’s board of directors. He is also engaged to Nikki Adhikari, daughter of CEO Sathinarayan Adhikari. After the ceremony, he is shown to be having an affair with Monica Machado, the company secretary. Monica reveals to Jayan that she is pregnant and tries to blackmail him. Jayan then receives a letter with a photo of him with Monica and asks him to go to a hotel.

The running time is 2 hours and 10 minutes, but it doesn’t feel like time has passed. The tension rises as you watch each scene. You guess what will happen next and it may actually happen, but there are many twists and turns. For a moment, you may think it is completely tangled, but soon all the threads will be smoothly unraveled.
