Mrs. Undercover is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language spy comedy film directed by Anushree Mehta and produced by Abir Sengupta, Anushree Mehta, Varun Bajaj, Ishan Saxena and Sunil Shah. It stars Radhika Apte, Sumeet Vyas and Rajesh Sharma. The film premiered on ZEE5 on April 14, 2023, but received negative reviews.
The film was announced in March 2021 after the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India.Filming began in 2021 during the second wave in Kolkata. Actor Sumeet Vyas reportedly contracted COVID-19 while shooting for the film.
Shilajit Mitra of The Hindu wrote: Perhaps this is also to blame for Kahaani, another Durga-obsessed film with a feminist theme.
Shubhra Gupta of the Indian Express rated the film 1.5 out of 5 stars and wrote, “Despite the way it unfolds, there’s nothing wrong with this feminist campaign, Mrs. Martin.” There are no laughs or tension in Undercover.
NDTV’s Saibal Chatterjee felt that the film was a “half-baked mess” and wrote that “Rajesh Sharma, who has a great track record as a versatile actor, makes a futile effort to pull off an unremarkable role. A silly plot and mediocre cinematography make Mrs. Congeniality a very forgettable action comedy.
Prateek Sur of Outlook India rated the film 2 out of 5 stars and wrote that “Mrs. Congeniality had a lot of potential, but a lackluster screenplay, especially the climax, ruined the overall enjoyment of the film.”

An unidentified man who calls himself “The Common Man” goes on a date with a beautiful girl. However, under the pretext of taking her home, he takes her to a secluded spot where he brutally murders her. Before killing her, he takes a video from her phone explaining how she, as a lawyer, won convictions for her clients’ husbands. He sends the video to a news station.
A special operations team led by Langella tracks down the Common Man, a serial killer who preys on strong, independent, professional women. The Common Man works an office job during the day and lives with his mother. He is leading a team monitoring the Special Forces and has killed one of their last agents. With great difficulty, Rangeela finds Durga, an undercover agent who is a housewife and clumsy at her job, living with her husband and in-laws and with a primary school-aged child.
Mrs. Undercover Movie Review
Mrs. Undercover is a perfect combination of drama/action and comedy. This movie is really good and worth watching! They showed the importance of being a housewife and also girl power and women empowerment.
Definitely a good script, good dialogues and characters that every woman can relate to in her life. As for Radhika, she did a very good job in this movie, her acting is really on point.
