Nosferatu is an upcoming American gothic horror film written and directed by Robert Eggers. It is a remake of the 1922 film based on Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel Dracula.
Nosferatu is scheduled to be released theatrically in the United States by Focus Features on December 25, 2024.

Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu is a bit thin, but arguably a parody of the original story of the 1922 film, the story itself being closer to Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula, about a young woman (in this case Depp’s Ellen) who is pursued by an ancient vampire who has come from the dark lands to feast in the heart of Western Europe.
Perhaps most importantly is the film’s style, with Eggers’s masterful cinematography uniquely suited to portraying F.W. Johnson, as he adapts the German Expressionist lens of Murnau’s original.
