Kanagavel is a young physical education teacher in a school in Erode. His mother Eswari strictly forbids him from attending any social events as an astrologer has predicted that it will be fatal for him. The sports teacher is in love with teacher Vanathi and the couple is engaged. Meanwhile,
a girl named Nandini who lives in Kanagavel’s college is being harassed by unknown men. Even though she is not involved, he advises her to go ahead. However, on the day of their engagement, Nandini commits suicide and despite his mother’s warnings, Kanagavel files a complaint for the murder and blames the college board chairman GP Guru Purushothaman.
