Bharathi is a professor in a medical college. She lives with her older wife, daughter and adopted daughter. Her elder son was martyred in the army and her younger son is a captain in the Indian Army. She calls her son to help her prepare for her daughter’s wedding. The scene then switches to Ajay Krishna, a major in the Para SF, where Bharathi’s son is also named Ajay and is also a member of the regiment. Ajay is seriously injured in a gunfight during the rescue operation.
