We Were The Lucky Ones Story
Before World War II, the Polish-Jewish Kruk family lived a successful and relatively peaceful life in Radom. Their success protected them from the virulent anti-Semitism at home. But as Hitler’s persecution of European Jews became increasingly intense, their protection did not last long.
Some family members went into hiding and were sent to concentration camps. Others fled to France, Brazil, West Africa and Russia. After the war, surviving families try to find and reunite with living relatives.
We Were The Lucky Ones Review
Such a very emotional show. Definitely one of my favorite shows now. It leaves you on the edge of your seat, anticipation building with each moment.
It makes your heart hurt for what happened in the past, what folks have been through. It’s also inspiring to see how strong the family was. Would highly recommend watching if you haven’t already.
