Bittu, Sattu’s former right-hand man, must settle old scores with the notorious don. Ludo’s dice are known as Sattu; Bittu makes up Ludo’s red side. The movie gets off to a difficult start, entangled you in multiple simultaneous stories, but by the end, you know what he wants to convey and thoroughly enjoy it.

As is typical of Basu’s writing and narration, it took me some time to comprehend what was going on, but once I did, the brilliant cast’s performances began to become enjoyable. I am unable to name a single actor whose portrayal has not been adequately justified. Everyone has done an excellent job, whether it’s an emotional lover, an overly dramatic police officer, or a very intelligent 6-year-old girl.

You become immersed in each person’s story and begin to live it with them. You feel sorry for Rajkumar Rao because he keeps making a fool of himself, you want to cry with Abhishek Bachchan because he sees his daughter, you keep loving or hating Pankaj Tripathi depending on the hat he is wearing at the time—a gangster or a lover—and you keep wondering about Basu’s character until the very end.

The only issue with the film is that you would have expected an unconventional conclusion to such a story, but all you get is a cliched typical Bollywood conclusion.
