Pisaasu Movie Story
Siddharth Soundaarajan (Naga) is an aspiring violinist in Chennai who encounters a tragic accident where a girl (Prayaga) is found lying in a pool of blood. With the assistance of an auto driver and a couple nearby, he rushes her to the hospital, but tragically, she dies while holding his hand. Shattered by this experience, Siddharth returns home with one of her slippers and begins to drive aimlessly around the city in his red car, helping homeless individuals as a way to cope with his grief. After the incident, Siddharth starts to experience eerie occurrences in his apartment. He senses a supernatural presence as things mysteriously clean themselves, and his bottle opener vanishes whenever he attempts to enjoy a drink. Seeking answers, he enlists the help of his friend Badri (Ashvatt) and hires a psychic to exorcise the ghost, but she proves to be a fraud, fleeing the apartment in terror from an unseen force.
Siddharth soon discovers that his autistic neighbor’s son has an imaginary friend, which raises his suspicions about the ghostly happenings. When Siddharth’s mother, Janaki (Kalyani Natarajan), comes to visit, she is struck by a drunken neighbor (Harish Uthaman) who abuses his wife (Kani Kusruti). Shortly after, the neighbor is attacked by a mysterious ghost. The next day, Janaki experiences a freak accident in the bathroom but is saved by the ghost, who alerts the neighbors. Misunderstanding the ghost’s intentions, Siddharth believes it has harmed his mother and threatens to take his own life to seek revenge as a ghost. Despite his attempts to perform various rituals from different religions to banish the spirit, all prove futile as the ghost remains. Additionally, a petty thief attempting to steal from Siddharth’s apartment is fatally stabbed, further complicating the unsettling events surrounding him.
