A man’s life unravels when a mysterious woman arrives at his motel one summer, forcing him to grasp tightly to what he cherishes most.
Jeon Yeong-ha has spent the past few years living in a remote forest town a few hours’ drive from Seoul, where The Frog takes place. Yeong-ha moved to this peaceful area after his beloved wife’s terminal illness, fulfilling her dream of living in a beautiful, isolated house surrounded by nature. After her passing, he decided to stay in the town, living in an unassuming home contiguous the manor he presently works as a vacation rental. Although Yeong-ha finds solace in managing the rental with his best friend Yong-chae, his daughter Ui-seon frequently urges him to return to Seoul to live with her and her fiancé. However, Yeong-ha is dependent on Yong-chae to encourage him to promote the property online in order to attract more guests because he lacks the drive to fully commit to the business.
