Goodachari (transl. “The Spy”) is a 2018 Indian Telugu-language action spy film directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, featuring a story by Adivi Sesh. Produced by Abhishek Pictures, People Media Factory, and Vista Dream Merchants, the film stars Adivi Sesh alongside Sobhita Dhulipala, Jagapathi Babu, and Prakash Raj. Supporting roles are played by Supriya Yarlagadda, Vennela Kishore, Anish Kuruvilla, Rakesh Varre, and Madhu Shalini. Gopi’s father, Raghuveer, is killed during a covert mission as a RAW field operative. To protect Gopi, his uncle Sathya, also a RAW agent, fakes both their deaths and raises Gopi as Arjun Kumar. With dreams of joining RAW and serving his country, Arjun sends out 174 applications but receives no responses. In his 175th application, he mentions his father’s name, leading to his recruitment by RAW’s secret unit, Trinetra.

Initially, Sathya is hesitant about Arjun’s decision to join RAW, fearing he might lose another family member. However, Arjun passionately expresses his desire to serve the nation like his father, convincing Sathya to support him. Soon, Trinetra’s chief, Damodar, briefs the recruits about Al-Mujahideen, a notorious terrorist organization with a mysterious leader known only as Rana. As Arjun begins his training, he starts dating Dr. Sameera Rao, a bright psychology graduate from Harvard University. During one of their meetings, Sameera introduces her uncle as her father and shares that she lost her parents in an accident, making her uncle her guardian. Relating to her situation, Arjun confides in Sameera, revealing his true identity as Gopi.
