Dil Bechara is a coming-of-age romance in Hindi that will be released in 2020. It is Mukesh Chhabra’s directorial debut. Fox Star Studios will produce the film. Shashank Khaitan and Suprotim Sengputa will write the script. Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi play terminal cancer patients in the film, which is based on John Green’s 2012 novel The Fault in Our Stars and its 2014 American film adaptation. Saif Ali Khan makes a cameo appearance in the film. Following Rajput’s unexpected posthumous appearance in the film on June 14, 2020—a month prior to its release—he passed away.

The film was shot in Ranchi and Jamshedpur, with Mumbai appearing on occasion; excluding the most recent one in Paris, France. Amitabh Bhattacharya wrote the lyrics, and A. R. Rahman wrote the score and soundtrack. Setu and Aarif Sheikh handled the editing and cinematography, respectively.

The COVID-19 pandemic and post-production delays hurt the movie’s theatrical release. In addition, Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020, which led to a digital release on the Disney+ Hotstar streaming service on July 24. 2016: Kizie Basu, who is 21 years old and has thyroid cancer, meets Immanuel “Manny” Rajkumar Jr., who is 23 years old and has osteosarcoma and is in remission. Manny is working on a film with his friend Jagdish “JP” Pandey, who has glaucoma and is blind in one eye. Manny will play the male lead in the film, which is inspired by Rajinikanth. Kizie is invited to play the female lead by Manny. Rajnikanth’s films and her love of Hindi music, particularly an unfinished song by retired songwriter Abhimanyu Veer, unite the two. While filming scenes for Manny and JP’s film, Kizie and Manny slowly fall in love. They decide to make “Seri,” which means “Okay” in Tamil, their secret word to remind them that everything will be fine in life and that it’s important to stay optimistic. JP goes blind after an operation because he loses sight in his other eye.

Manny tells Kizie one day that he has been successful in locating Abhimanyu and getting in touch with him. Kizie sends Abhimanyu an email, and he responds by saying that if she can come visit him in Paris, where he lives, he will answer all of her questions. Manny and Kizie make an effort to persuade Kizie’s parents to let them go on the trip. With the condition that Kizie’s mother joins them, they are able to persuade them. Kizie’s cancer gets worse as they are getting ready for the trip, and she ends up in the hospital right away.

I had my doubts when I first heard that the Hindi version of “Fault in Our Stars” was going to be made, but after watching the movie today, they all vanished. This movie is so well made that even the plotline is well adapted into a typical Indian story with a lot of spectacle and warmth. I loved every part of the movie. Sanjana Sanghi has done an amazing job in this movie; she nailed her role as Kizie, and when it comes to Sushant, what can This film is a celebration of love and a zest for life, as well as, most importantly, a celebration of Sushant’s legacy as an actor and a wonderful person. I’ve always been a fan of his films, and he never fails to impress me with his acting skills. Kudos to Mukesh Chhabra, the film’s director, for making it so well! A R Rahman Sir’s music also adds to the movie’s charm.
