IIT Krishnamurthy is a 2020 Indian Telugu mystery film written and directed by Sree Vardhan and produced by Nekri Prasad and Akki. Dandamudi Pruthvi, Myra Doshi and Vinay Varma play the lead roles in the film. The film premiered on Amazon Prime Video on December 10, 2020.
The film has been dubbed in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam under the same name. Krishnamurthy, a student of IIT Bombay, comes to Hyderabad and finds out that his uncle is missing. Krishnamurthy then finds his missing uncle, which is a mystery. All the music was composed by Naresh Kumaran. IIT Krishnamurthy is a film that will not let you sleep and is considered a commendable attempt. You have to watch the film to know if an IIT student is really smarter than the most experienced police officer.

Krishnamurti (Prudi) comes to Hyderabad in search of his uncle. He reports it to the police but is shocked to learn that his uncle has died and that the police have cremated him themselves. Krishna does not believe this and continues to search for the cause. He is attacked several times and at the same time a major corporate fraud occurs. IIT Krishnamurthy Movie Review
The production quality of the film is good as is the cinematography. All the investigation and police scenes are well directed. The music is boring and only takes away from the atmosphere of the film. The dialogues and production design are great as well. The editing is boring and could have been cut by at least 10 minutes. Talking about director Sreevardhan, his story idea is good but his choice of artists is very poor. Moreover, his narrative lacks persuasiveness. His script looks good on paper and has a good twist at the end. But the film falls flat to show that he does not write compelling scripts.
Overall, IIT Krishnamurthy is an unimpressive suspense thriller. The weak cast, boring story and slow pacing completely ruin the flow of the movie. Apart from a few interesting scenes in the second half and a good twist at the end, there isn’t much to see in this movie and it ends up being a boring thriller.
